Stories & Voices

EVERY VOICE HAS A STORY.

Behind every complaint, accommodation request, report of misconduct, grievance, disciplinary action, or termination is a human being with an experience that deserves to be heard respectfully.

Why Stories Matter

Voices Without Fear provides opportunities for individuals to share their own workplace experiences and help bring awareness to issues affecting workers and workplaces.

Sharing Your Experience

We encourage anyone sharing an experience to distinguish clearly between:

  • What you personally experienced
  • What your records or documentation show
  • What you believe or suspect
  • What remains an allegation or disputed matter

Truthful, responsible storytelling strengthens advocacy. Your story matters. Your voice matters.

Share Responsibly

Speaking up also carries responsibility. Before sharing documents, photographs, correspondence, screenshots, or other materials, carefully review them and remove unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

Do not publish:

  • Social Security numbers or employee identification numbers
  • Home addresses, private telephone numbers, or personal email addresses
  • Financial information or confidential customer information
  • Unnecessary medical information or information you are not authorized to disclose
  • Attorney-client communications, attorney work product, or sealed materials
  • Information your attorney has instructed you not to disclose

Individuals involved in lawsuits, EEOC charges, administrative proceedings, grievances, arbitration, union matters, or other legal proceedings should carefully consider what they make public.

Your story belongs to you. Share it thoughtfully.
